The role you play during birth is key. As a doula it is my job to facilitate your knowledge and capability to positively impact the birth of YOUR baby. When a doula is present the husband/partner is still crucial, needed, important. 

 

My goal is to offer a birth course that is enlightening and enjoyable - that leaves you feeling capable to handle what birth (and your partner) will throw at you. A doula is not just for the birthing mother, but to help build a strong birth team.

The birth of your baby is also the birth of your journey into parenthood. The first few hours and days are obviously important for your baby but they are also crucial to your beginnings as a family. Continual support before and after baby is born will enable comfort, ease and a smoother transition for all.
